I find this is to be a typical scenario:

“I can’t push myself to exercise, even though I feel like I should. If I could build up the self-discipline to exercise on my own, it would be different, but how do you go about doing that? Wouldn’t my mood improve if I exercised more often?”

In theory this all sounds so logical — and yet in practice it just doesn’t happen. The only way progress happens is when you make a plan and stick to it.

And, let’s not forget about the major benefits when it comes to exercising, which include a more energetic and positive attitude. Exercising can increase an individual’s energy level. No matter the weather, people will have more energy if they work out because their bodies become more active.

A more positive attitude and a more energetic state of being are not the only benefits associated with exercising.  Exercising can also help treat mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, personality disorders and PTSD. In extreme cases it can even be used as an intervention for suicidal ideation.

Exercising is necessary for individuals of all shapes and sizes because it improves physical health, mental health, strength and endurance.
