5 tips to lose pregnancy weight fast

In this article I will discuss how women can lose pregnancy weight fast and the benefits for them.
New mothers often ask me how to lose pregnancy weight fast after they have given birth.
It is a common concern.
When women are pregnant, their bodies need to create a safe place for their baby inside their bellies by storing extra body fat. This means hormones make gaining weight far too easy.
The problem is our bodies don’t do anything afterwards to shed that extra baby-making weight.
As a personal trainer, I know how to help you lose pregnancy weight fast. I work with women with effective exercises that are easy and target their problem areas such as tummies, hips and thighs.
Here are some simple things you can do to lose pregnancy weight fast.

1. Start tracking how far you walk each day

You may want to get a pedometer to tell you how much you walk in a day. By increasing your number of steps you take each day, you will be amazed how quickly you will get back in shape.

2. Use a food journal to lose pregnancy weight fast

When you are a mum, you don’t have time to cook for yourself so you end up snacking on rubbish from the fridge all day. Knowing what you eat is the first step in making healthier choices for yourself.

3. Drink plenty of water

An average woman should drink one or two litres of water a day. Your body has been baking a baby for the past nine months and going through massive hormonal changes. Make sure you drink plenty of water so your body increases its fat-burning metabolism and returns to its pre-natal state.

4.. Do at least 15 to 20 minutes of exercise each day

Exercises using your own bodyweight – like lunges, squats, step ups, dips for arms, press-ups, bridges, kickbacks etc – will see weight-loss results quickly. Make this part of your daily routine, such as during your infant’s afternoon nap, and you will be motivated to get fit.

5. Get your life into a routine

It is vital for new mothers to have a regular routine, this includes sleeping, eating and exercise. It’s very easy to forget that your baby needs you and if you’re not healthy, it’s not good for your child. Remember, stress hormones will prevent your body from losing pregnancy weight. Once you get yourself into a healthy place, everything else with your body will start to look after itself.

As a mother myself, I know that it is difficult finding the time to spend time on yourself especially after giving birth.
Until that baby becomes a toddler, you’ll often be stationary and won’t be running around a lot.
